When a group of young women unite over wine, a “wow” moment transforms into a powerful WOW movement. After attending a conference together, these young female professionals discovered a shared journey.
Their conversations about careers, goals, and community roles were affirming and inspiring. However, one evening of fellowship was insufficient. They desired more for themselves and other women on similar paths.
Recognizing the lack of meaningful spaces for young professional women to develop personally and professionally while making purposeful contributions to their community, they took action. In March 2017, they initiated a group chat. Within three months, WOW was born, and its inaugural meeting occurred on June 7, 2017.

At WOW's monthly meetings, members have the chance to enhance their professional and personal skills through expert-led presentations and workshops on various topics. Non-members are welcome to join the monthly meetings to experience our organization for a fee of AWG. 55,-. Sign up below for our mailing list and receive our monthly invitations.
As part of WOW Aruba's objectives, we are dedicated to giving back to the community through our charity and fundraising committee. Each year, members choose goodwill initiatives through a survey. We actively seek volunteer opportunities and welcome organizations to reach out to us if we can contribute to their cause.
WOW Members enjoy social activities organized on a quarterly basis. These activities aim to foster networking opportunities and promote team-building among the members.
The Board of the Women empOwering Women Organization is elected on an annual basis. Board turnover will be in June 2024.
